Domain

The Domain tab controls the web address customers use to reach your store. Open Settings from the dashboard sidebar and select the Domain tab.

Subdomain

A subdomain is the free web address Orderain gives your store, like yourname.orderain.com. It's ready to use right away with nothing to set up.

Your live subdomain is shown in a card with its address, a Live badge, the date it was added, and its provider (Orderain). You can rename the part before .orderain.com anytime using the pencil icon.

Custom domain

A custom domain is your own web address that you bought from a provider like GoDaddy or Namecheap, for example yourstore.com. Connecting it makes your store open on that address instead of the free .orderain.com one, and you keep your subdomain too, so both will work.

Connecting a custom domain gives you:

• Free SSL Certificate. HTTPS encryption that protects data and improves search ranking.
• Improved SEO. Better search visibility with a memorable, branded domain.
• Zero Downtime. A seamless transition with no service interruptions.
• Easy Setup. A simple process with automatic DNS configuration help.

Click Connect Domain to start. Setup runs in three steps.

Step 1 — Enter your domain

Type the domain you already own (for example yourstore.com) and click Continue.

Step 2 — Add DNS records

Choose where you bought the domain — GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google / Squarespace, Hostinger, Name.com, or Other / not sure — to get steps tailored to that provider, along with an Open provider shortcut.

Orderain then shows the DNS records to add at your provider. You add two A records, both pointing to Orderain's server:

Each record has a copy button next to its name and value. Add both records in your provider's DNS settings, then click I've added the records.

Step 3 — Wait for verification

Orderain shows Waiting for your DNS changes to take effect and checks three things for you: the Root domain, the www subdomain, and the SSL certificate & server. Each shows a status such as Checking or Configuring.

This usually takes a few minutes, but can take up to a few hours depending on your provider. You can leave the page and Orderain keeps checking in the background.

Detailed status

Expand View detailed status to track each part of the setup and troubleshoot if something isn't verifying:

• Root Domain and WWW Subdomain, each with a status like Configuring.
• The DNS records to add at your domain provider (the same two A records), with copy buttons.
• Root Domain Setup and WWW Subdomain Setup guidance that appears when a record isn't configured correctly — for example setting an A record at the root pointing to 94.136.188.97, using A-record flattening if your provider supports it, or the exact Host/Name, Target/Value, and TTL (Auto or 3600) to enter.

A note reads Domain setup on our servers is pending until your DNS is verified, after which it's processed automatically. The panel shows when it was Last checked, and gives you controls to Refresh, Edit, or Delete the domain.
